  On the 11th April, 2019 I wrote an article titled “ An urgent need for Truck driving School ”, the motive behind the article is the rampant road traffic crashes caused by articulated vehicles across the country. Statistically, approximately 1.35 million people are killed and 50 million seriously injured due to road crashes annually. Road crashes kill 1 person every 24 seconds — about 3,700 killed a day. In Q2 of 2020 according to the statistics released by the National Bureau of Statistics of Nigeria 64% of Road Traffic Crashes(RTC) that occurred were commercial vehicles, 34% of those vehicles are trucks, tankers and trailers. The Statistics also shows that Human factor make up 80.7% of the causes.
